Author Guidelines and Publication Requirements

General Requirements for Research Acceptance

 

•    Originality and Novelty: The research must be original and not previously published in any language or medium, nor submitted to another publication.

•    Plagiarism and Misrepresentation: The research must not be a verbatim copy of a thesis or previous research by the author without paraphrasing and significant scholarly additions.

•    Similarity Percentage: The similarity (plagiarism) percentage must not exceed 20% overall, provided that the plagiarism from any single source does not exceed 4%.

•    Scientific Methodology: The research must adhere strictly to the scientific method in presentation, analysis, and documentation.

•    Scope and Specialization: The research topic must fall within the scope of the journal's specialization and its stated themes (Migration, displacement, border and transit crises).

Research Specifications and Official Requirements

 

•    Length of the research: 4,000 to 8,000 words (including abstract, references, and appendices).

•    Language of the research: Arabic or English.

•    Abstract and Keywords: A summary of at least 150 words and no more than 250 words must be included in both Arabic and English, followed by 4 to 6 keywords in both languages.

•    Font type and size:

o    Arabic text: Simplified Arabic font, size 14.

o    English text: Times New Roman font, size 12.

•    Line spacing and margins: 1.5 cm line spacing, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.

•    Documentation style: APA style (7th edition) must be used for the text and bibliography, with sources and references arranged alphabetically.

•    File format: Word document (.docx).

Mandatory Elements of the Research

The mandatory elements of a research paper include: title, abstract and keywords, introduction and problem statement, theoretical framework, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion and recommendations, and a list of references. (A data availability statement should also be included if applicable).

 

Article Processing Charges (APC)

The journal employs a clear and transparent fee policy to ensure fairness and sustainability:

 

•    Researchers residing in Libya are required to pay a processing fee of 250 Libyan Dinars (LYD).

•    Researchers residing outside Libya are required to pay a fee of US$200.

(Ethical Note: No fees are accepted to guarantee acceptance or expedite the review process).

Steps for Submitting Research

 

1.    Create a researcher account on the journal's online platform.

2.    Complete the online submission form and attach the original research file (including author information).

3.    Attach a blurred copy (without author information) to be used for the double-blind peer review process.

4.    Attach signed declarations confirming the originality of the research, the absence of any conflict of interest, and copyright.

5.    Pay the processing fees according to the journal's published financial policy.

6.    Track the status of your research through the researcher dashboard on the online platform.
